Debris of missing medical chopper ‘yellow bee’ found in Palawan waters

Possible debris of missing medical chopper “yellow bee” found in Palawan waters, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) confirmed on Thursday, March 2.

According to PCG, a possible debris was sighted by BRP Malabrigo.

“Yellow bee” reportedly crashed in the vicinity waters between Brooke’s Point and Balabac in Palawan Wednesday afternoon.

It was carrying five individuals, including a patient and a nurse.

PCG and the Philippine Air Force are currently conducting search and rescue operations in the vicinity waters.

Philippine Adventist Medical Aviation Services’ medical chopper provides free air medical aviation services to vulnerable groups, including Indigenous Peoples, in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.

“Yellow bee” also conducts medical evacuations, medical and dental services, and also helps in natural disasters through bringing relief goods, medical teams, and supplies to affected areas. — ag
