About 30,000 free round trip tickets to Hong Kong are offered to Filipino residents by the territory’s airport authority.

Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAH) said it is giving away 500,000 free round trip tickets starting March 3 to residents in Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, China, and other countries.

The campaign, according to AAH Chief Operating Office Vivien Cheung, aims to encourage tourists to travel to Hong Kong again after it fully lifted COVID-19 restrictions, such as wearing of face masks.

“We want to attract people all over the world and we welcome the travellers all over the world with open arms. They will enjoy our facility… and have fun in Hong Kong,” Cheung said.

Cheung noted their facilities have been further improved and its airport now has shopping malls and hotels.

“We never stopped to renovate and improve, so during the three years during [the] pandemic we [had] to put a lot of effort to upgrade a lot of our services, hardware, software, [and] automation,” she added. GB/Report from Joshua Garcia -ag
