Negros Oriental Third District Rep. Arnolfo Teves denied involvement in the ambush of Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo and eight others.

In a video message addressed to the public, Teves said he had no ill will towards Degamo.

Nagkamali siya ng salita dahil hindi niya alam na marami akong kakilala,” Teves said in the video posted on his Facebook account.

Teves reiterated that he and his brother, former Bayawan City Mayor Henry Teves, were not responsible for the incident.

Teves also appealed for President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s approval to allow him to get his license to carry firearms as his life and his family’s are in danger.

Teves extended condolences to Degamo’s bereaved family and condemned his murder.

Degamo was ambushed in his residence in Barangay San Isidro, Sto. Nuebe, Pamplona during an event with his constituents. –gb
