The northeast monsoon or “amihan” will cause light rains across Luzon and Western Visayas, the weather bureau said Wednesday.

The rest of the country will have isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides are possible during severe thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its 4 a.m. weather bulletin.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will continue to prevail over the entire archipelago.

PAGASA forecast rough to very rough seas over the northern seaboard of Northern Luzon, the eastern and western seaboards of Southern Luzon, and the eastern and western seaboards of the Visayas.

It advised fishing boats and other small sea vessels not to venture into the sea, and alerted larger sea vessels against big waves. (PNA)
