COVID-19 positivity rate in PH jumps to 24.3%

The COVID-19 positivity rate in the Philippines jumped to 24.3% as of May 20, according to OCTA Research Group.

The previous nationwide positivity rate was at 24.1% on May 18.

In a tweet, OCTA Research fellow said they are projecting around 1,700 to 1,900 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, May 21.

The positivity rate is the number of individuals testing positive for COVID-19.

As of May 20, there are currently 16,503 active COVID-19 cases in the country. – cf
