Series of quakes hit Sarangani

A series of quakes hit Sarangani early Wednesday morning, May 24, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

A 5.2-magnitude quake jolted Kiamba town of Sarangani around 8:44 a.m.

It had a depth of 51 kilometers (km) and was tectonic in origin.

Earlier, the following magnitudes also rocked Kiamba: 4.2 (2:30 a.m.), 4.8 (2:22 a.m.), and 4.9 (1:03 a.m.).

No damages reported, but aftershocks are expected.
