#WalangPasok: Class suspensions on May 26 due to super typhoon ‘Mawar’

[UPDATED As of May 26, 2023, 10:00 a.m.] Classes in some areas are suspended on Friday, May 26,  due to anticipated inclement weather brought on by the super typhoon “Mawar.”

Here is the list of areas where classes are suspended:

Argao, Cebu – All levels

Carcar City, Cebu – All levels

Consolacion, Cebu – All levels

Liloan, Cebu – All levels

Minglanilla, Cebu – All levels

Naga City, Cebu – Elementary to High School

San Fernando, Cebu – All levels

Talisay City, Cebu – Public schools

Cauayan, Negros Occidental – All levels

Roxas, Palawan – All levels

Arayat, Pampanga – Kindergarten to High School

Macabebe, Pampanga – All levels

Echague, Isabela – All levels

San Mariano, Isabela – All levels

Calamba City, Laguna – Elementary to College

Rizal, Laguna – Nursery to Grade 12

Marikina City – All levels

According to the 3:00 p.m. bulletin of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), super typhoon Mawar maintains its strength while moving near Guam. 

PAGASA also said it would enter the Philippine area of responsibility on Friday evening or early Saturday. It will be given a local name: #BettyPH.
