A 4-year-old boy in Las Piñas was found dead inside a washing machine on Sunday, May 28, two days after he went missing.

According to the Las Piñas City Police, the victim’s 15-year-old uncle is suspected of the crime because of his Facebook post before it was deactivated.

]In a Facebook post, the victim confessed that he had “done something” he deeply regrets.

“[I] need to do my best to make up for it, [I] let my intrusive thoughts win and [I] have to pay the consequences,” he wrote.

“Ever since that day [I]’ve been asking myself, how did things end up this way? Losing your sense of self, I know people will say it’s because of family pressure or mental disease, but the fact is [I]’m the one that did it,” he added.

The suspect also confessed that he took someone’s life and that he “can’t take it back” even if he wants to.

“This guilt has been haunting me ever since it happened, but I know that [I] did and [I] am trying to get over it. Sometimes it comes back, the memories and the guilt,” the suspect added.

“As someone who has taken someone else’s life, I cannot express in words the pain and grief I feel for the victim’s family. It is important for me to express my deepest condolences to the family and to let them know that I am truly sorry for what happened. I hope that they find some peace and healing in their loss and that they can see that I am truly remorseful for what I have done.”

According to authorities, they received a report Sunday morning that someone was found dead inside a washing machine.

Based on the initial investigation, the 4-year-old victim often goes to the suspect’s house.

The mother of the suspect initially said it was an accident and that the victim fell down the stairs.

“Base sa sinasabi ng nanay ng suspek nasa taas daw ‘yung anak niya [tapos] itong bata naliligo raw sa banyo, pumupunta lang ‘yung bata doon e, minsan nakikiligo na naglalaro tapos siguro umakyat, nakarinig daw ng kalabog ‘yung anak niyang nasa taas, ‘yung pagtingin niya, nakita niya doon ‘yung bata na hindi na kumikilos walang malay,” PSMS. Marsito Terreon said.

“‘Yung initial daw na reaksiyon ng anak niya is natakot so ginawa, itinago na lang daw,” Terreon added.

The suspect is currently under the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development and will face a murder case. – With reports from Noel Talacay-ag
