By Raymond Carl Dela Cruz | Philippine News Agency

The southwest monsoon (habagat) will bring rains on Saturday, June 3, particularly to the western section of the country.

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said monsoon rains may affect Occidental Mindoro and northern Palawan, including Calamian Islands.

The weather disturbance will also bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Batangas, Cavite, the rest of Mimaropa, and Western Visayas.

The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to Habagat and localized thunderstorms.

There will be light to moderate winds headed southwest to the south over Luzon, with slight to moderate coastal waters at 1.2 to 2.5 meters.

Visayas and Mindanao will have similar wind conditions but headed south to southwest, with slight to moderate coastal waters at 1 to 2.1 meters.

The temperature in Metro Manila will be around 25°C to 32°C; Laoag City at 26°C to 33°C; Legazpi City at 26°C to 32°C; Metro Cebu at 26°C to 31°C; and Metro Davao at 25°C to 33°C.
