Roxas Blvd to temporary close on June 12

Roxas Boulevard will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic on June 12 from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. to give way to activities for the commemoration of the 125th anniversary of the Philippine Independence Day.

Road closure will be implemented along Roxas Blvd. from TM Kalaw to P. Burgos, both bounds from 5:00 a.m to 10:00 a.m. for a flag raising ceremony.

Meanwhile, Katigbak Parkway, South Road and Independence Road will be temporarily closed from 12:01 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. to give way to a civic military parade.

Affected trucks going to North Harbor are advised to reroute from South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) straight ahead to Osmeña Highway then right turn to Quirino Ave., straight to Nagtahan St., going to Lacson Ave., left turn to Yuseco St., and straight ahead to Capulong St. then right turn or turn left to R-10 road to destination.

Trucks coming from Parañaque area shall turn right at Quirino Ave. to Nagtahan then Lacson Ave. to destination, while trucks going to the south may use the same route.

The Metro Manila Development Authority will deploy traffic enforcers to assist in traffic management, tow trucks, ambulances, and vacuum trucks.

Concrete and plastic barriers as well as traffic cones will be placed in key areas. – cf
