In commemoration of the 125th Philippine Independence Day, several railway systems will offer free rides to commuters during selected hours on Monday, June 12.

Railway operators Light Rail Manila Corporation and Light Rail Transit Authority announced in separate advisories on Friday, June 9, that there will be a “libreng sakay” at all stations of LRT-1 and LRT-2 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) also said commuters may avail the free rides from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

– gb
