Filipino-made documentary nominated for Emmy

A Filipino made documentary about defending the country’s “last ecological frontier” has been nominated for the prestigious Emmy Award.

“Delikado” follows Bobby, Tata, and Nieves, three environmental crusaders who confront betrayal and murder as they battle to save Palawan.

The short film was nominated for “Outstanding Investigative Documentary.”

Also nominated are HBO Max’s “Escape from Kabul,” Netflix’s “I Am Vanessa Guillen” and “FIFA Uncovered,” and Amazon Prime’s “Flight/Risk.”

“Delikado” also received numerous nods from prestigious film festivals including Sydney Film Festival, Environmental Film Festival, and Asia Pacific Screen Awards.

The News and Documentary Emmy Awards will be held on Sept. 28 at the Palladium Times Square in New York City.
