The southwest monsoon or habagat will continue to affect Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao this Wednesday, Aug. 16, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Habagat will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Visayas, Mimaropa, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and BARMM.

These may trigger flooding or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will also prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to habagat or localized thunderstorms.

Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are also possible.

Meanwhile, PAGASA said no low pressure area that may affect the country is being monitored.
