The southwest monsoon or habagat will continue to affect the western sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas this Tuesday, according to the state weather bureau.

In its 4:00 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over Mimaropa and Western Visayas due to habagat.

PAGASA said flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains are possible.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to habagat/ localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are also possible.

Meanwhile, PAGASA weather specialist Grace Castañeda said the low pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine area of responsibility (AR) has a low chance of developing into a tropical depression.

“Hindi natin inaalis ang posibilidad na ito ay pumasok sa loob ng PAR sa mga susunod na araw,” she said.

“And also yung trough o extension ng bagyo sa mga susunod na araw ay posible ding magdulot ng mga pag-ulan dito sa may kanlurang bahagi ng Luzon,” she added.

Metro Manila and Cebu’s temperature may reach 32°C, Baguio up to 24°C, and Metro Davao to 33°C.
