Ateneo top PH school in world university rankings

The Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) remained the top Philippine school at the latest Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings.

AdMU placed in the 1,000-1,200 bracket.

It was followed by University of the Philippines (1,201-1,500), De La Salle University (1,501+), and University of Santo Tomas (1,501+).

Meanwhile, these Philippine universities also received “reporter” status: 

  • Cebu Technological University
  • Central Luzon State University
  • University of Eastern Philippines
  • Mapua University
  • Mariano Marcos State University
  • Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology
  • Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology
  • University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines
  • Tarlac Agricultural University
  • Visayas State University

Meanwhile, the University of Oxford topped the rankings for eight years in a row.

This edition’s rankings included 1,904 universities across 108 countries and regions.

The rankings were based on 18 performance indicators that measure each institution’s performance across five areas: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry, and international outlook.
