Parts of NCR, nearby provinces to experience power interruptions on June 27-30

Several parts of Metro Manila, Laguna, and Cavite will experience power interruptions from June 27 to 30 due to scheduled maintenance and infrastructure activities.

In an advisory, power distributor Manila Electric Company (Meralco) announced the following outages as it conducts improvement work in its facilities:

June 27-28, 2024

Santa Rosa City, Laguna

Affected between 11:00 p.m. (Thursday, June 27) and 4:00 a.m. (Friday, June 28) due to the replacement of pole, line reconductoring works, and installation of additional lightning protection devices along Macabling Road in Barangay Macabling:

  • Portion of Macabling Road from Manila South Road to and including Corinthian Homes Subdivision, Garden City 4 Homes Subdivision, Rosa Subdivision, Rosemont Ville Subdivision, Sitio Iran, Sitio Iraq, Santa Rosa Garden Villas 2 Subdivision, Santa Rosa Love Homes Subdivision, Metrogate Santa Rosa Subdivision, and Purok 2 and 3; Metro Drug, R.M. Foods and Prime Worldwide Paper Packaging Corporation in Barangays Macabling and Tagapo.

Binondo, Ermita, Santa Cruz, and Quiapo, Manila

Affected between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and then between 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. due to the energization and relocation of facilities related to the construction of a bridge near LRT 1 at Lawton Ferry Station in Ermita:

  • Portion of Muelle Del Banco Nacional Street from Quintin Paredes Street in Binondo to Plaza Santa Cruz Street in Santa Cruz.
  • Portion of Quintin Paredes Street from Muelle Del Banco Nacional Street to near San Vicente Street in Binondo.
  • Portions of Yuchengco, Soda, Tomas Pinpin, and Burke Streets from Muelle Del Banco Nacional Street to Escolta Street in Binondo.
  • Portion of Escolta Street from Quintin Paredes Street to Banquero Street in Binondo.
  • Portion of Banquero Street from Muelle Del Banco Nacional Street to Escolta Street in Binondo.
  • Portion of Carriedo Street from Carlos Palanca Street to Rizal Avenue in Santa Cruz.
  • Portion of Carlos Palanca Street from Carriedo Street to Padre Gomez Street including Helios, Isla de Romero, and Chica Streets in Quiapo.

Affected between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.:

  • LRT 1 – Rectifier Substation 5 in Liwasang Bonifacio, Ermita.

Novaliches, Quezon City

Affected between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. due to the line reconductoring works and replacement of poles along Ilang-Ilang Street in Amparo Subdivision, Barangay Capri:

  • Portion of Ilang-Ilang Street from Banahaw Street to and including Camia, Carnation, Champaca, Champaca Extension, Dahlia, Dama De Noche, Gumamela, Jasmin, Jasmin Extension, Lily, Mulawin, Narra, Rosal, Rose, Sampaguita, Santan, Santan Extension, and Waling-Waling Streets in Amparo Subdivision, Barangay Capri.

Comembo and East Rembo, Taguig City

Affected between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. and then between 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. due to the line reconductoring works along J.P. Rizal Street in Barangay Comembo:

  • Portion of Sampaguita Street from J.P. Rizal Street to 9th Street including Jollibee; 8th and 9th Streets in Barangay Comembo.

Affected between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.:

  • Portion of J.P. Rizal Street from 27th Avenue to Anahaw Street including Philippine Army Village Homeowners Association, Inc. (PAVAI); KFC, Mercury Drugstore, Meriras Commercial Complex, Mormon Church, and Benigno “Ninoy” S. Aquino High School in Barangays Comembo and East Rembo.
  • Portion of Anahaw Street from J.P. Rizal Street to and including Apitong, Alagao, Aguho, Tanguile, 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Streets; and Comembo Barangay Hall in Barangay Comembo.

Trece Martirez City, Cavite

Affected between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. due to the rehabilitation and replacement of facilities in Barangay Gregorio:

  • Portion of San Gregorio Road from Juanito Remulla Sr. Road (Governor’s Drive) to and including Heritage Homes Phases 1 & 2, Montalban SRC Panel Corporation, and Solid Steel International Coating Corporation in Bgy. Gregorio.

Mabuhay and Don Manuel, Quezon City and Sampaloc, Manila

Affected between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and then between 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. due to the replacement of poles, line reconductoring works, and installation of additional lightning protection devices along P. Florentino Street and España Boulevard:

  • Portion of A.H. Lacson Avenue from Dapitan Street to P. Florentino Street in Sampaloc, Manila.
  • Portion of España Boulevard from Blumentritt Road to Mabuhay Rotonda including Josefina 1 and 2 Streets; Meralco España Business Center, Mercury Drug, Southeast Asian College, España Tower Mega One Building, Nextel Building, and Philipps Technical Consultants Corporation (PTCC) in Sampaloc, Manila.
  • Portion of E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue from Mabuhay Rotonda to Matimyas Street including Nicanor Ramirez Street; KFC Restaurant, United Doctors Medical Center, and Pycor Inc. in Barangay Don Manuel, Quezon City.

Dela Fuente, Musa, R. Cristobal, San Diego, and V.G. Cruz Streets; Residencia Fortuna, Mondember Building, and A+ Studios in Sampaloc, Manila.
  • Portion of Piy Margal Street from A.H. Lacson Avenue to Prudencio Street including Carola, Don Quijote, Dos Castillas, Gen.
