Motorists and consumers are in for higher oil prices starting Sept. 3.

In separate advisories, Cleanfuel, Caltex, Jetti, Petro Gazz, Seaoil, and Shell said they will increase prices of gasoline by P0.50 per liter and P0.30 per liter for kerosene.

Caltex, Seaoil, and Shell will also adjust upward kerosene prices by P0.70 per liter.

Other industry players are expected to follow suit.

Last week, oil companies implemented big-time price rollbacks.

“Year-to-date, total adjustment of gasoline and diesel stands at a net increase of P6.90 per liter and P4.05 per liter, respectively. However, kerosene has a total net decrease of P4 per liter,” the Department of Energy (DOE) said.

DOE data showed that current prices of gasoline range from P51.80 to P85.37 per liter, diesel from P48 to P71.40 per liter, and kerosene from P68.64 to P83.70 per liter.
