The Philippine National Police – Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) has confiscated illegal drugs with an estimated street value of P122,501,800 and arrested 55 drug personalities in April.

In a report on Friday, PDEG acting chief PCOL. Ronald Briones said the seized illegal drugs include 15,156.80 grams of suspected shabu, 97,000 marijuana plants, 500 marijuana seedlings, and 60 grams of dried marijuana leaves.

Additionally, 38 vape cartridges containing marijuana oil were taken off the streets, underscoring the unit’s vigilance in addressing both traditional and emerging forms of drug distribution.

Meanwhile, the arrested suspects include 40 high-value individuals, six street-level individuals, two most-wanted persons, and four other wanted individuals.

Ongoing investigations also led to the identification of three new suspects, Briones said.

He said these were the result of 45 operations mounted last month that include 32 buy-bust operations, four search-warrant implementations, and three marijuana-eradication activities.

He commended the special operations units for their exceptional performance and relentless efforts in combating drug-related crimes.

“Your tireless service is a true testament to our collective pursuit of a drug-free Philippines,” Briones said.
