PBBM’s satisfaction rating tops other PH gov’t offices in latest survey

OFF THE CHARTS. President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. topped the nationwide survey conducted by research firm Tangere on 1,500 respondents from May 8-9. The results of the survey were attributed to the positive reception of the administration’s social programs and the fulfillment of the Chief Executive’s P20-per-kilo rice program, which was his campaign promise during the 2022 national elections. In the latest nationwide survey conducted by Tangere on 1,500 respondents from May 8 to 9, the Office of the President received a 61.8% satisfaction rating, which topped other government offices in the country.

The results produced by the market research firm support earlier findings of an OCTA research report conducted in April, which states that President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. remains the country’s most trusted government official.

Tangere cites support from the lower income classes and from residents in rural areas as among the factors that drove up the masses’ positive perception of President Marcos.

The Chief Executive’s fulfillment of his campaign promise during the 2022 elections, the P20 per kilo rice program, along with other social programs under the Marcos Jr. administration, has greatly contributed to President Marcos’ chart-topping satisfaction ratings halfway through his term.

The Tangere survey also credited the launch of irrigation projects that resulted in double harvests for farmers, the improvement in health infrastructure, especially related to pediatric care, and the delivery of completed units under the National Housing Authority (NHA) for the public’s positive feedback on the Chief Executive’s performance.

Meanwhile, the President’s top marks were followed by the House of Representatives (55.7%), Cabinet Members (52.9%), and the Senate (49.5%).
