The Philippine National Police (PNP) has intensified its presence to maintain peace and security ahead of the large-scale anti-corruption rallies scheduled for Nov. 30, Malacañang said on Friday.

“Pangatlo na nga po itong rally so handa na po ang PNP pagdating diyan,” Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said in a press briefing.

Castro noted that about 15,097 police personnel will be deployed, as more than 50,000 participants are expected to join the protest action.

She added that the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) is already on full alert.

“Ang NCRPO ay on full alert magkaroon ng maximum police presence at tamang deployment,” Castro said.

The Nov. 30 demonstrations are part of a series of anti-corruption protests held this year, following earlier rallies joined by participants from various sectors, including youth groups, labor unions, and civil society organizations.

Organizers have been calling for greater transparency, accountability in government transactions, and action on allegations of misuse of public funds.
