The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has updated its “May Huli Ka” website to provide more accessibility features for motorists who might have committed violations under the No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP).
In a press conference in Pasig City on Friday, MMDA Chairperson Romando Artes said motorists may now view their proof of violation on the website by entering their plate number and MV File number.
Multiple vehicles may now also be registered under a single account in the vehicle portal, ideal for transport network vehicle service (TNVS) operators, ride-hailing fleet managers, logistics companies, and commercial vehicle operators.
All violations in the fleet can be tracked and reviewed through the website, the MMDA said.
Another new feature on the website is the E-Contest option where motorists can create a ticket, input necessary details, and upload required documents to contest their violation tickets.
Motorists will be notified via email once an officer from the MMDA Traffic Adjudication Division responds.
“With the new features made available in the May Huli Ka website, motorists can now check on their records anytime and anywhere as we continually improve on the system and make it more inclusive,” Artes noted.
To further strengthen NCAP implementation, Artes said their AI cameras will soon be programmed to include overspeeding in violations captured in addition to the use of speed guns.
Meanwhile, the MMDA has also signed a memorandum of agreement with an e-wallet system for a more convenient method to pay traffic and littering fines. Every transaction comes with a P7 convenience fee, lower than the previous P12 fee.
As of Nov. 30, the MMDA has logged a total of 252,315 violations, 119,345 of which are validated.
To date, the agency has 186 AI cameras, 348 CCTV cameras, and 100 body-worn cameras in action.
