“The SAF 44 died a meaningful death on the side of justice and righteousness,” said Chief Supt. Manuel Gaerlan, the director of PRO XI.

Gaerlan said the courage and devotion of SAF 44 would forever be remembered and would serve as an inspiration for all police personnel to be more professional and passionate in ensuring the PNP’s mandate “To Serve and Protect”

Led by deputy regional director for operations, Sr.Supt Jose Bayani Gucela, the men and women of PRO XI attended the ceremony with the family of one of the SAF 44, SPO1 Lover S. Inocencio, who was buried in Panabo, Davao del Norte.

“PRO 11 joins the nation in continually honoring departed SAF commandos. They were among the best of the PNP,” Dela Cerna said.
