Tourist van kills 64-yr-old woman in Malabuyoc, Cebu

CEBU CITY — A tourist van carrying an unknown number of foreigners fatally struck a 64-year-old woman crossing a national highway in Malabuyoc, Cebu on Saturday morning.

Reports reaching the Cebu Provincial Police Office said Gaudencia Tupas suddenly crossed the highway past 9:00 a.m. and was hit by the tourist van driven by Archie Fortun, 42, of Cebu City.

The victim was pronounced dead on arrival when she was brought to the Malabuyoc District Hospital.
