Department of Foreign Affairs statement on the terror attack at the Brussels Train Station

 

The Department of Foreign Affairs condemns the terrorist attack carried out in the Brussels’ Central Station on the evening of 20 June 2017.

We commend the Belgian security forces for their quick response to the situation which resulted in no innocent lives lost or injured.
The recent attacks in Europe remind us that we need to remain vigilant in fighting these cowardly terrorist acts, and stand united together to preserve and protect our peaceful societies. ###dfaph
