Scattered rains to prevail over PH

MANILA — Scattered rains will prevail over the country, according to the state-run Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Wednesday.

In its 5-p.m. weather bulletin effective for 24 hours, PAGASA said the Bicol Region will experience cloudy skies with rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies. It cautioned of possible flash floods or landslides caused by light to moderate with occasional heavy rains.

Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila and the other parts of the country, meanwhile, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by local thunderstorms. PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides caused by light to moderate with occasional heavy rains.

The whole country will also have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate seas. (Juzel Danganan/PNA)
