P57-M new vehicles turned over to PRO-11

DAVAO CITY – Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa expects an effective and efficient police as he turned over new vehicles worth PHP57 million to the Police Regional Office (PRO) XI on Monday at Camp Catitipan here.

“With the turnover of these vehicles to the different police units in PRO XI, I now expect the Davao police to further improve its mobility which is a crucial factor in the conduct of efficient and effective police operations particularly in rendering timely police response to incidents and calls for assistance from the citizenry,” Dela Rosa said in his speech.

Dela Rosa said the new cars will also enable police to augment the mobility in search and rescue operations during disasters and calamities.

The PNP chief also thanked the local government and the community who continued to support the PNP particularly the Davao police in its continuing campaign for peace and order.

“Improved mobility is vital to our continuing peace and order campaign particularly when we are back in the campaign against drugs and strengthening forces against crime, insurgency and terrorism,” he stressed.

“This will complement our effort, enhance our move, shoot, communicate and investigate functions which are all parts of the PNP in patrolling efficient and credible police force,” he added.

Dela Rosa also encouraged the personnel of PRO XI to serve and inspire, render duties with a dedication to local governments are doing everything to help police bring services to a high-level performance.

He expects regional police to be mindful in the supplementary guidelines in the conduct of campaign against illegal drugs.

Chief Insp. Andrea Dela Cerna, spokesperson for PRO XI, said the newly acquired vehicles were 23 units of Toyota Hi-Lux, 44 units motorcycle and 3 units of Man Truck.

Dela Cerna said six Hilux vehicles will be deployed to Davao Occidental Police Provincial Office, nine to Davao del Sur, one to Davao del Norte, three to Compostela Valley and two to the Regional Force Mobile Battalion (RMFB).

The ten motorcycles will go to Davao Occidental Police Provincial Office, Davao del Sur and Compostela Valley.

Dela Cerna said the two units Man Truck will be deployed to the Davao del Sur Provincial Public Safety Company (PPSC) and RFMB.
