P50-M ‘shabu’ seized, 3 drug peddlers arrested in Alabang

ALABANG, Muntinlupa City – Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Philippine National Police (PNP)-Drug Enforcement Group (DEG) seized about 10 kilograms of “shabu” with an estimated value of PHP 50 million during a drug buy-bust operation at the Parking Area 5 of the Alabang Town Center in this city Friday.

The drug bust operation resulted in the arrest of the three suspected drug peddlers identified as Norodian Guimadel Samplidan, 20, of Maguinao, New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City; Lady Jane Flores Borja, 24, of Green Valley, San Nicolas 3, Bacoor City, Cavite; and Regina Inocencia San Miguel of Apartment B, Pacita 1 in San Pedro City, Laguna.

Seized from the suspects were five packs of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or locally known as “shabu” weighing 10 kilograms worth about PHP50 million.

The operation was conducted jointly by Police Chief Superintendent Albert Ignatius D. Ferro, chief of the PNP DEG together with PDEA National Capital Region (NCR) Regional Director Ismael G. Pajardo Jr., Muntinlupa City police chief Dionisio Bartolome Jr. and the Police Community Precinct head Arnold DC Salasalan and other operatives .

The suspects are now under custody at the PDEA office in Quezon City. (PNA)
