DTI sets 2nd Regional SSF Summit in Zamboanga del Norte

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur — A 62-man delegation consisting of cooperators and beneficiaries of Shared Service Facility (SSF) of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is participating in the 2nd Regional SSF Summit.

DTI Provincial Director Maria Socorro Atay on Wesdnesday said the members of the delegation of this province will represent the 26 existing SSF projects of the agency here.

Atay said the 2nd Regional SSF Summit is set to be held tomorrow, April 12, in Dipolog City in the nearby province of Zamboanga del Norte.

Atay said the summit will gather representatives of SSF cooperators in the Zamboanga Peninsula to assess the implementation of the program across the region.

She said they will share the good practices of SSF cooperators in the operation of the projects; create an opportunity for networking among the cooperators and beneficiaries; and, get the commitments among SSF cooperators and beneficiaries to sustain and expand the success of the SSF projects.

She said an awarding of the Best SSF Projects in the region will also be held during the summit.

She said that PHP16.052 million SSF funds went to the procurement of machines and equipment to the 26 existing SSF projects.

The machines and equipment are being used by the cooperators through usufruct basis.

The 2nd Regional SSF Summit is anchored on the theme “Shared Success for Filipino MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises).”

Meanwhile, Atay said DTI has allocated PHP9.53 million for three SSF projects this year in this province. (Hirohito Cadion/PNA)
