Palace welcomes SWS survey; vows to work double time

MANILA — Malacañang on Sunday vowed to work double time in response to the “moderate” +28 net satisfaction rating the Cabinet earned from latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.

According to the 2018 March SWS survey participated in by 1,200 respondents, the Cabinet of President Rodrigo Duterte suffered a 10-point decline from the record-high of +38 or “good” in December last year.

“We take note of the latest SWS survey showing a +28 net satisfaction rating, which the polling firm classified as moderate,” Presidential Harry Roque said in a press statement.

In Mindanao, the Cabinet got a 28-point decline despite Duterte’s excellent +82 net satisfaction rating in his hometown region based on previous SWS survey.

“Many agencies have made significant strides in their respective areas and fields. The departments under the executive branch will continue to serve the nation and the best interest of our people by bringing comfortable life to disadvantaged and marginalized families, unmindful of the distraction and political noise,” Roque said.

“We shall therefore work double time in highlighting policies and programs of the current administration that have the most impact to the lives of our countrymen,” he added.

The Senate got the highest net satisfaction rating among government institutions at 45 percent despite an 11-point drop, followed by the House of Representatives with 35 percent, while the Cabinet is in third spot and the Supreme Court has 20 percent in fourth. (PNA)
