CENRO employee nabbed for illegal drugs

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — An employee of the City Environment and Natural Resources (CENRO) here was nabbed Friday evening for illegal drugs in a checkpoint along Dolores Intersection this city.

Policemen, led by Senior Inspector Wimerra Jean D. Saldia. flagged down Jhay John Bondoc Roque, 33, on board his Honda motorcycle for violation of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) rules and regulations.

“But after body search, five plastic sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia were recovered from Roque’s possession,” Saldia said.

Police said Roque was allegedly involved in illegal drug trade after a series of text conversations and transactions were found in his mobile phone by arresting officers.

Under the PDEA policy, a government employee or official involved in illegal drug activities is classified as a High Value Target (HVT) drug personality.

Roque is detained at the Dolores Community Police Assistance Center (COMPAC 2) as charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act are being readied against him in court. (Marna Dagumboy Del Rosario/PNA)
