Out-of-school youth, PWDs undergo leadership training in Pangasinan

BURGOS, Pangasinan — Some 36 out-of-school youths, including persons with disabilities from Anda town, are attending a training program focused on developing their productivity and leadership skills.

Pangasinan Reformation Center (PRC) officer-in-charge Eugenie Guiang said the training slated May 14-18, dubbed as “Unlad Kabataan Program”, aims to develop unity among the youths who are members of the Pangasinan Youth Association.

“They are the first batch for the leadership and team building training handled by our PRC directorate,” Guiang said in an interview on Wednesday.

She said physical activities, which include dancing, are part of their daily routine as they stay inside the PRC for four days and three nights.

Meanwhile, the Unlad Kabataan Program is provided by the provincial government for free to the young people of Pangasinan, through the PRC.

“The youth are the hope of our nation, so we help them develop by training them,” Guiang added. (PNA)
