TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite – The Department of Education (DepEd) in Cavite announced Thursday the official kick-off and caravan of the ‘Brigada Eskwela’ in Alfonso town on May 26.
In a memorandum, DepEd-Cavite Schools Division Superintendent Cherrylou De Mesa urged participating education stakeholders to assemble at Rodeo Hills Subdivision, Buckstate in Alfonso town at exactly 5:30 a.m. for the “Brigada” caravan that will proceed to the town proper covered court and the public plaza where the kick-off program will start at 8 a.m.
She said the Alfonso local government with other participating government/non-government organizations, public elementary and secondary school heads and coordinators will then proceed with various ‘Brigada Eskwela’ activities at the Alfonso National High School.
The ‘Brigada Eskwela’ is DepEd’s annual activity which gathers education stakeholders to volunteer their time, effort and resources in preparing the country’s public school facilities before the opening of classes in June.
De Mesa said the Cavite schools opted to conduct their regional clean-up activity days ahead of the “Brigada Eskwela” national kick off set on May 29 at the New Society National High School, Division of General Santos City in Region 12. (Gladys Pino/PNA)
