MANILA—The southwest monsoon or habagat continues to affect the western section of Luzon, bringing moderate to occasional heavy rain in the provinces of Bataan, Pangasinan, and Zambales on Monday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Administration Services (Pagasa) said.
In its 24-hour forecast, Pagasa said the regions of Ilocos and Cordillera, Metro Manila, the provinces of Batanes, Babuyan Group of Islands, Cavite, Batangas and rest of central Luzon will experience light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms caused by southwest monsoon.
Due to the southwest monsoon, the northern and western section of northern Luzon and the western section of central Luzon will have rough to very rough waters.
