PH’s No. 3 most wanted carnapper nabbed in Bulacan

MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan — Joint police operatives arrested one of the country’s most wanted carnappers in Barangay Bahay Pari, Meycauyan City Monday night.

Senior Supt.  Chito Bersaluna, acting provincial director of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, identified the arrested suspect as Emmanuel Barroga, a resident of Barangay Callos, Penaranda, Nueva Ecija.

Barroga is listed as the No. 3 most wanted person for carnapping nationwide; No. 1 most wanted person for carnapping for Regional Highway Patrol Unit 3; and No. 1 most wanted person for carnapping for the Bulacan Provincial Highway Patrol Team.

Bersaluna said Barroga was nabbed by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Felizardo Montero, Jr. of the Regional Trial Court Branch 11, Malolos City for violation of Republic Act No. 6539 (Anti-Carnapping Law of 1972).

Based on the report, the suspect was arrested by joint elements of the Bulacan Highway Patrol Team, Criminal Investigation and Detection Team and 1st Company of Bulacan Provincial Mobile Force Company after a series of surveillance and stake out operations in Barangay Bahay Pari around 6:50 p.m. Monday.

The suspect has been temporarily placed under the custody of the Provincial Highway Patrol Team -Bulacan Office for proper disposition. (Manny Balbin/PNA)
