MANILA — Four flights between Manila and Basco, Batanes were cancelled on Monday due to bad weather, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) announced.
These flights were CebGo (DG) 6009/6010, and Skyjet (M8) 818/819 Manila-Basco-Manila.
State weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration earlier said severe tropical storm “Prapiroon” (formerly Florita) was spotted at 825 kilometers northeast of extreme northern Luzon, outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
“Prapiroon” has a maximum sustained winds of 105 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 130 km/h heading north at 15 km/h, the agency added. (Ma. Cristina Arayata/PNA)
