15K jobs available under Build Build Build

CAPAS, Tarlac — About 15,000 jobs are currently available on projects related to government’s Build Build Build Program, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar revealed Wednesday.

In a press conference here on the site of the National Government Administrative Center (NGAC), Villar said the government continues to deliver its pledge to create jobs as it accelerates its infrastructure program.

He added these jobs will be supporting different infrastructure projects throughout the country under the Build Build Build program.

Most of the job vacancies are for building and construction activities such as architects, engineers, finishing masons, finishing carpenters, heavy equipment operators, tile setters, and welders, among many others.

Aside from on-site construction jobs, there are positions available to support the operation of firms and government agencies involved in the Build Build Build, which include research and development, sales and marketing, communications and public relations, legal, computer and information technology, security, and accounting and finance.

Jobs are also available in categories such as customer service, management and operations, hospitality, medical and health care, human resources, procurement and supply chain, education and training, product and quality, property and asset management, and creatives and design.

The government will be holding the Jobs Jobs Jobs caravan on August 12 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

“With our Build Build Build comes the Jobs Jobs Jobs,” said Villar.

In the same event, Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Ernesto Pernia mentioned that there are nearly 5,000 projects across the country under the Build Build Build from 2017 to 2022. Seventy-five of which are flagship projects of the Duterte administration, with the government “striving to finish” 32 projects by 2022. (Kris Crismundo/PNA)
