Cops rescue 1-year-old boy from Chinese abductors

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela — Local police operatives and anti-kidnapping agents rescued a one-year-old Chinese boy from his abductors inside a private hotel here at about 2:30 p.m. Friday, police said.

Senior Insp. Frances Littaua, Isabela police spokesperson, said the rescued boy was a native of Jiangsu, China.

Littaua identified the arrested abductors as Jinjin Zhu, 30, and his alleged cohorts, 32-year-old Shi Hao, 32, and Jinjie Yuan, 32, all Chinese nationals, also from Jiangsu, China.

Zhu allegedly abducted the boy in Manila and took him to Isabela for still uncertain motives. Police could not provide more details on the case as further probe is being conducted in Metro Manila.

The Chinese were turned over to the Philippine National Police’s Anti-Kidnapping Group in Camp Crame, Quezon City. (Bill Visaya/PNA)
