Flights diverted to prov’l airports due to bad weather in Manila

MANILA — Two international flights and one domestic flight were diverted to provincial airports on Saturday afternoon due to bad weather in Manila, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said.

China Airlines (CI) 703 Taipei-Manila flight was diverted to Cebu, with a new estimated time of arrival at 7:30 p.m. instead of 3:45 p.m. on Saturday.

Cathay Pacific Airways (CX) 919 Hong Kong-Manila flight was diverted and expected to arrive in Clark at 6:40 p.m.

Cebu Pacific (5J) Puerto Princesa-Manila flight was also diverted to Clark in the afternoon.

At 1:24 p.m. Saturday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecast heavy rains with lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms over Metro Manila. (PNA)
