Nurse arrested for drug peddling in NoCot

COTABATO CITY — Anti-narcotics operatives, backed by policemen, nabbed on Friday night a male nurse for possession of prohibited drugs during an anti-drug operation in Barangay Poblacion 8, Midsayap, North Cotabato.

In a report, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 12 (Soccsksargen) director, Naravy Duquiatan, identified the suspect as Lester Singco, 33, staff nurse of the Cotabato Regional and Medical Center and a resident of Midsayap.

Authorities conducted the buy-bust operation at 7 p.m. and arrested Singco after he handed over a sachet of “shabu” to a PDEA poseur-buyer. Seized from Singco were six sachets of “shabu” with an estimated street value of PHP10,000, and drug paraphernalia.
