Over 300 passengers stranded in S. Luzon, Bicol ports

MANILA — More than 300 passengers remain stranded in parts of Southern Luzon and Bicol region Monday due to inclement weather caused by the enhanced southwest monsoon.

In an advisory, the Philippine Coast Guard said a total of 346 passengers, 33 motor bancas and eight sea vessels were stranded in ports in the provinces of Camarines Sur, Batangas, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro and Northern Luzon this afternoon.

Weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that the southwest monsoon would continue to bring moderate to occasional heavy rains in Luzon that might cause flooding and landslides. (Aerol John Pateña/PNA)
