Thunderstorm warning up over parts of Luzon

MANILA — Various areas in Metro Manila, Central Luzon, and Southern Tagalog will experience severe weather conditions due to thunderstorms.

In its advisory issued 1:45 p.m. Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said heavy rains and strong wind are expected in the following areas within the next two hours:

* Metro Manila (Parañaque, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas)

* Zambales (Sta. Cruz, Candelaria, Masinloc, Palauig, Iba, Botolan, Cabangan, San Antonio, Subic, Olongapo)

* Bataan (Morong, Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Orani, Samal, Abucay, Balanga, Pilar, Orion, Limay)

* Tarlac (La Paz, Concepcion)

* Nueva Ecija (San Antonio, Cabiao, San Isidro)

* Pampanga (Lubao, Sasmuan, Masantol)

* Bulacan (Hagonoy, Paombong)

* Cavite (Cavite City, Kawit, Noveleta, Rosario, Tanza, Tanza, Naic, Trece Martires, Amadeo, Indang, Mendez, Alfonso, Silang)

* Laguna (Sta. Maria, Mabitac, Majayjay, Nagcarlan, Calamba, Cabuyao, Sta.Rosa, Biñan, San Pedro)

* Batangas (Talisay, Laurel, Taal, San Luis)

* Rizal (Cardona, Binangonan, Pililla, Tanay, Baras, Antipolo)

PAGASA cautioned residents in these areas to take precautionary measures against the impacts of heavy rains including flash floods and landslides. (PNA)
