Take other routes as road repairs up in EDSA, C-5, QC, says MMDA

MANILA — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has advised motorists to use alternative routes as some parts of the Epifanio delos Santos Ave. (Edsa), Circumferential Road 5 (C-5), and Quezon City will undergo road reblocking and repairs this weekend.

In its traffic advisory Friday, the MMDA said road reblocking and repairs will be done from 11 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday (August 27), in the following areas:

Southbound:

  • EDSA in front of Francesca Tower to after Scout Borromeo (3rd lane from the center island);
  • EDSA before P. Tuazon St. (1st lane from the center island);
  • C-5 Road Southbound after the intersection of Green Meadows-C5 Road (after Jollibee) *Manila Water restoration works;
  • C-5 Road Southbound after Lanuza Ave. (opposite of Shell gas station from northbound) *Manila Water restoration works; and
  • C-5 Road Southbound after Lanuza Ave. (pedestrian over after Shell gas station) *Manila Water restoration works

            Northbound:

  • EDSA before North Ave. (6th lane from center island);
  • AH Lacson Ave. cor. Aragon St., and cor. P. Florentino St.;
  • Batasan Road before Payatas Road (2nd lane); and
  • Katipunan Ave. between Capitol Hills Drive Ayala Heights Village (1st lane) *Manila Water restoration works (Aerol John Pateña/PNA)
