CIDG-ARMM agents arrest 4 wanted men, seize guns

COTABATO CITY — Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (CIDG-ARMM) nabbed here Friday four men facing murder and robbery with homicide charges.

In a report, CIDG-ARMM chief, Supt. Allan James Logan, said the arrest of the four suspects in Barangay Rosary Heights 7 here was in accordance with the implementation of “Oplan Paglalansag Omega”.

Arrested based on warrants issued by Judge Bansawan Ibrahim of Regional Trial Court Branch 13 in October 2013 were Derie Masukat, Bryan Tuggay, Arnold Lozada, and Lucito Caime.

The court recommended no bail for the arrest of the suspects, who are also facing charges for violation of Republic Act No. 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearms and Explosives).

Recovered by the arresting team from the suspects were three .45-caliber pistols, two M16 rifles, and ammunition. The suspects are now detained at the CIDG-ARMM custodial facility at PC Hill, this city. (Edwin Fernandez/PNA)
