CSC chief urges gov’t workers to excel as ‘lingkod bayani’

MANILA — In line with its goal to make the commission a center of excellence for strategic human resources, Civil Service Commission (CSC) Chairperson Alicia dela Rosa-Bala urged on Sunday all government employees to be model workers.

Ngayong selebrasyon ng 118th anniversary ng CSC nawa ay maging paalala ang ating selebrasyon na ang serbisyo sibil ay ang haligi ng pamahalaan na may malasakit para sa bayan (In the celebration of the 118th anniversary of the CSC, may we all be reminded that civil service is a pillar of the government with genuine concern for the nation),” she said.

In her speech at the RACE to Serve Fun Run in Quirino Grandstand, dela Rosa-Bala thanked all civil servants who continue to contribute to national development by doing their job well.

I also thank those from Central Bank, Land Bank who are here, and directors of Civil Service NCR who headed the programs for this celebration under the leadership of director Judith Dongallo-Chicano),” she said.

Apart from the fun run, dela Rosa-Bala said the CSC will have a Government Chorale Grand Finals on September 18, Government Job Fair on Sept. 27 to 28, and 2018 Outstanding Government Workers awards Rites, as part of the celebration of the 118th founding of the CSC.

Patuloy po tayo maging ehemplo bilang mga lingkod bayani na maka-Diyos, makatao at makabansa (Let us continue to be good examples as servant heroes who are god-fearing, humanitarian and nationalistic),” she added. (Teresa Montemayor/ PNA)
