Deadline for FOI requirements under enhanced PBB 2018 slated Sept. 30

MANILA — The Freedom of Information – Project Management Office (FOI-PMO) has reminded all departments and agencies to submit their pending FOI requirements.

The FOI criteria are now included in the Enhanced Performance-Based Bonus for the year 2018 to ensure the delivery by, and responsiveness of departments and agencies in disclosing government information to the citizens.

The signed and approved FOI Manual, Agency Information Inventory, 2017 FOI Summary, 2017 FOI Registry should be submitted on September 30.

The requirements and the FOI logo linked to the eFOI Portal (www.foi.gov.ph) should be accessible in the transparency seal of the homepages of the agencies’ website.

Further requirements for January 2019 are the 2018 FOI Summary and 2018 FOI Registry.

The FOI-PMO, which spearheads the implementation of Executive Order No. 2 issued in 2016 by President Rodrigo R. Duterte, aims to uphold transparency and accountability in the government sector.
