KIDAPAWAN CITY — Police nabbed a suspected drug pusher allegedly in possession of 11 packets of “shabu” (crystal meth) in Pikit, North Cotabato on Friday.
Pikit town police chief, Chief Insp. Romy Castañares, identified the arrested suspect as Roel Filipinas, 47, of Afdal St., Barangay Poblacion.
Filipinas was arrested during the 12:30 p.m. drug buy-bust operation at his home in the area.
“He (Filipinas) was surprised to know later that he was dealing with a police poseur-buyer,” Castañares said.
Recovered from the suspect were 11 packets of shabu with an estimated street value of PHP20,000, drug paraphernalia, ammunition for a .50-caliber machine gun, and marked money.
The suspect is currently detained at the Pikit police station pending the filing of appropriate charges against him. (Edwin Fernandez/PNA)
