Similar with relief efforts he conducted when he was still SAP, Go gave the usual emergency kits to the families currently staying in an evacuation center. Among these are school supplies and relief packs with food and hygiene kits.

Go coordinated with the Department of Social Welfare and Development and the barangay personnel to expedite the requests of the victims.

In an interview, Go said his visit was not an early campaign stunt.

“Kagaya ng sinabi ko, it’s not yet campaign period so nandito po ako para magbigay ng tulong at nakagawian ko (Just like what I’ve said, ‘ it’s not yet campaign so I’m here to give assistance like what I’ve done in the past),” he said.

According to Go’s staff, around 105 families will receive aid.

On Monday, a fire razed 15 homes and a portion of a school in Quiapo district. It reached second alarm around noon and was contained at 3 p.m. (Joyce Ann L. Rocamora/PNA)
