PCSO to open Agusan, Guimaras branches in December

MANILA — The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) is set to open two more branches in December, it was revealed over the weekend.

PCSO General Manager Alexander Balutan said the state lottery agency is set to open its 66th branch in Agusan del Sur and its 67th branch in Guimaras before the year ends.

The agency has just opened two new branches in Mindanao—its 64th branch in Maguindanao in September, and its 65th branch in Surigao del Sur.

“By opening more branches, our services are reaching out to people where they are needed most. These provincial offices act as a mini-PCSO. They are responsible for the fund generation and provision in their areas of responsibility,” PCSO Assistant General Manager for Branch Operations Remeliza Gabuyo said.

The new branches will take charge of sales and collections of Lotto, Small Town Lottery, Keno and Sweepstakes, as well as fund provision or managing funds for charity purposes.

Gabuyo also disclosed that PCSO will be creating more satellite offices in the National Capital Region (NCR) to decongest the main office of workload and charity work. (Christopher Lloyd Caliwan/PNA)
