ITCZ affecting southern Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao

MANILA— An intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) affecting southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will bring scattered rain showers in these areas Monday.

In its latest bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the ITCZ is affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Meanwhile, Bicol region, Central and Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao and Zamboanga Peninsula will be partly cloudy to cloudy caused by the ITCZ.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA said flooding or landslides may occur if there is severe thunderstorm, particularly in the afternoon or evening.

Northern Luzon will have moderate to occasionally strong east to northeast winds with moderate coastal waters.

Temperature in Metro Manila ranges from 25-34 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City, 23-33 degrees Celsius; Baguio City, 15-26 degrees Celsius; Angeles City, 25-33 degrees Celsius; Lipa City, 25-33 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu, 25-32 degrees Celsius and Metro Davao, 25-34 degrees Celsius. (Lily Ramos/PNA)
