Duterte shows updated drug matrix

Year after President Rodrigo Duterte released the list of narco-politicians, he once again announced an updated drug matrix, involving narco-politicians, in Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) 19th founding anniversary event in Malacañang Palace.

Duterte stated that some judges were involved while some provinces in Western Visayas is currently active in drug activities.

Warning the local politicians, President Duterte said that Mindanao local leaders will face suspension if they didn’t avert the drug activities within their provinces.

“If you cannot control drugs in your city, I might just go out and suspend you,” he stated.

On the other hand, Duterte also described the killing of 32 drug suspects as the good thing that the police accomplished.

“Yung namatay daw kanina sa Bulacan, 32, in a massive raid. Maganda ‘yun. Makapatay lang tayo ng mga another 32 everyday then maybe we can reduce what ails this country, ” he said.

However, he also said that the reason of unending anti-drug campaign was the involvement of police officers in drug activities.

As for the Bureau of Custom’s issue, Duterte said that he still trusts the bureau’s chief Nicanor Faeldon, saying, ” Eh ganoon talaga. Hindi talaga kaya. Mismo ‘yong Customs, pumupuslit sa likod ko. Bakit kaya (ko) ‘yan?”

“But Faeldon, I will stand by him,” he emphasized. | Angelica Bobiles – PTV
